Just got the super sport anchor to supplement my ultimate pwc anchor. I needed a longer anchor as we ride on lake Michigan and the waves can be two feet at the shore. I love how Sand Shark keeps innovating and making their products better and more affordable. The new adjustment pin is great. The point on the plastic auger should make it easier to start in gravel. More clearance between the posts so sand doesn't bind them. Great job!
After having had the ultimate xl for a year and loving it I wanted to try the super sport because of the more agressive auger. Some areas I dock are very rocky. I was not disappointed!! This dug right in and held all day. What a great product. Be great if we could buy a more agressive auger for the xl and just interchange the sleeves as needed. But really happy with both anchors!

Always used dog screws to hold my boat before, but had to go under to set them. But when it was time to leave, no one wanted to go under and pull it back up....love this anchor, but may have received a defective one, as it is hard to pull from the retracted position and hard to push back down to retracted position. May have to contact customer service.
Bought the Sport edition to get me by the 4th of July at Lake Eufaula, OK... It did more than get me by. I tethered it off the bank about 4 feet (the boat/25 foot Cobalt), put the eye to the wind, and augered the SandShark Sport in about a foot and a half of water, fully extended. Used a standard weight anchor to tie off the back up to the shore. Did all the above Friday afternoon, by Saturday afternoon when we were ready to take off for the day, it had not moved an inch. Used the same set up the rest of the weekend, until storing boat in slip... Worked so well I ordered an XL for next season- Highly recommend.
